Equestrian Social Media Awards

Fugly Horse of the Day is a finalist in the Equestrian Social Media Awards!  We’re super excited for the blog :)   This is a testament to the previous writers who worked hard to build and develop the blog to where it is today: an excellent place for discussion and a meeting of equestrian minds.  If you’ve got a minute, please follow the below link and vote for Fugly Blog!

We’d also like to take this chance to remind everyone about the rescue database we’re working to build up.  If you, or anyone you know, is involved in the rescue biz and would be willing to answer some questions every once in a while, please email us at fuglyblog@hotmail.comYour contact info will not be given out to others, rather we’ll forward any inquiries we get to you for you to answer if you’re able to help.

Completely OT, but you have to see this CL add:

“2 Year Old Mare Mule up to date on shots and worming she would be good for Guarding or breeding she good with other Horses and cows Asking $200 OBO or I will be willing to trade for Calf Chickens let me know what you got (xxx)-xxx-xxxx”

And here is a pic of the wonder mule:

Good for breeding? Mules don’t produce offspring.

    Good luck! :)

…And to add a bit of offtopic-ness.. Stumbled across this video on youtube.. I’m honestly not sure WHAT this woman was trying to achieve but I certainly feel a bit sorry for the horse..

I saw her do something similar 5? years ago at I believe the PA World Expo, while waiting for a seminar to take place afterwards. It wasn’t quite as uncomfortable to watch at that clip, but the less-horsey friends I was with were far more taken with it than I was. That time the poor horse had one of those giant plastic wreaths around his neck the whole time to add to the patriotic feel.
