Parental Advisory
Jul 27 2008
Don’t send your kid to Rocky River Stables if you would like to see them live to graduate elementary school!
Should we just play that old game of trying to see how many things are wrong with a picture? Who would like to start?

Well lets see…
1. that horse is WAY too big for that tiny little girl
2. her heels are up and back
3. she doesn’t have ACTUAL CONTROL of the horse, the girl jumping with the horse does
4. the girl jumping with the horse is JUMPING WITH THE HORSE. ‘Nuff said
5. I don’t know anything about jumping, but I can figure out that the horse doesn’t have good form over this… he’s pushing off of only one leg!
I’m sure there’s more…
GAH!
This girl should be trotting ground rails AT THE MOST! Rather see her just working on the flat. I do not understand the big rush to jump before the basics are close to set. If the kid can not steer the horse and get it over a fence she shouldn’t be jumping, and the “instructor” is a complete fool.
She has no seat and no leg and her heels are up. It looks to me that she is holding mane to approximate a crest release, meaning if the loony tune jumping WITH the horse (WTF is up with that????) loses the reins no one will have any control of the horse.
At least the kid has a helmet on and is wearing boots with a heel (if she didn’t it looks like her foot would slide right through that stirrup)….but shorts?
The horse has terrible form here but to give him credit he may do much better ridden properly and not being hauled over fences in this bizarre manner. At least he looks to be in good shape and healthy.
If the horse lands in a canter or bolts can the silly woman holding him keep up? Not likely!
I’ve coached kids with bratty ponies who would run out, the most I’d do to help them is put a rail beside the jump to form a wing….this is just….um….really weird and dumb.
