This might be the toughest little mare in the world

I’m warning you now. Do not watch the video linked below if you’re the sensitive type. If anything on earth is going to give you nightmares, this will do it.
The Story of Naysa
More of her story on the Habitat For Horses web site (text and pictures)
Blog showing lots of pics of the property where Naysa will live forever
It’s obvious to anyone this is one of the greatest rehab jobs ever done on a horse. Debbie Pendleton, the foster mom, did an unbelievably fabulous job here. I really wish there was some kind of true recognition for what she did for this mare – not just the labor-intensive job of caring for her injuries, but the time that went into rebuilding her trust in humans. And of course the same recognition for Habitat for Horses and all of those people who donated money to pay her extensive vet bills.
And what of Tony Meyers, the piece of sewage that did this? Hell, he still runs free. Hasn’t even gone to trial yet. Yes, everybody is trying. Maybe August, I hear. But hey, he could get 10 years at hard labor – I sure hope he does! Of course the POS pleaded not guilty. (News video at that site showing the POS himself.) Good thing I don’t live in Louisiana. Ooops, officer, I didn’t realize the car was in reverse. It was a total accident when I backed it back and forth over him 46 times. Ha ha, you know us women drivers!
Roundin’ up the bad guys and hanging them was not necessarily a tradition we needed to get rid of. That’s all I have to say. I can’t imagine a single person, even among my most liberal friends, who’d disagree with hanging this guy, or better yet stoning him to death. I’d like to mete out the same punishment he gave this mare and watch him cry like a baby. He’d never be as tough as she was.

why i oughta…if i could only get my hands on him. this man had better hope to never meet me face to face, or even be within 100 miles of me, if he doesn’t want to end up a human version of a gelding (which hopefully happens to him in prison). im going to wallow in a stream of bad words, so please dont read if you have sensitive eyes. what a fucking piece of scummy shit waste of human life. who the fuck even thinks that this is reasonable? who even comes up with this retarded shit? Who even raises a child that does this shit??? POS doesnt even describe how grotesque and disgusting tony is, in fact, there isn’t even a word in the english language that describes how brain-dead he is. I hope he rots in prison while being raped with things that are more horrific then “barb-wire halters” (WTF????)
Debbie – your amazing.
At last, a feel good story with only one SLIGHT niggle (the craphead still untried and unpunished). This is so typical. The excuse “It’s only an animal” just completely misses the point that people who abuse animals don’t treat their peers much better. When the backgrounds of many serial killers are examined, animal abuse is often a component.
But Naysa is obviously in a very good place now, and everyone connected with her rehabilitation and current situation should be congratulated. Stars in everyone’s crown for sure.
My soul is crying out for the means to have a horse in my life again, and when I see this kind of torture, and all the other horrific stories of cruelty and neglect, my heart screams, “Not fair! Not fair! Not fair!”. I have so much love in my heart that I could lavish on a horse who’s never had any, or had it and was dumped, (yes, I’m talking to YOU, Wendy Hsue!), but I don’t live on or near a farm, and I just don’t have the funds to provide a home at a boarding stable, no matter how humble. (I live vicariously through you all!)
Despite the clear evidence that a vast majority of killers, and other similar whackjobs, begin with the torture of animals, why are such crimes not given more seriousness? (I know that I am preaching to the choir, but humour me.) Particularly cruel and sick, sick, sick actions taken against this little mare?
Debbie & Habitat for Horses, I bow to your compassion and determination.
A huge hooray to those who worked on her rehab. It was not easy and certainly labor intensive.
Killing the piece of shit who abused her is too good for him. I would prefer life-long horror for him of some sort. If he ever gets to court, he’ll probably be told to attend an anger management class and that will be it. Poor boy just needs to learn to control his anger, doncha know? (as an aside–there is a place for anger management class/lessons. This is not it.)
looks like the video link you posted is dead, but I think this might be the same video:

To Naysa and her caretakers: you’ve done great and deserve every victory and comfort.
Regarding the asshole: This is not a human being. It is a monster. Being human implies having humanity, the difinition of which includes “the state or quality of being humane.” No individual worthy of being called human could ever do something so horrible.
Hell is too good for some monsters.
