Horse Pony Welsh Stallion – $900
“Orion is a beautiful 3 1/2 year old buckskin stallion. He is 11.2 hands. He is very calm and loving. He was halter broke at a young age, leads well, does well with the furrier. Loves to be brushed. He would be a easy horse to break. Great 4-H project, kid safe family horse. We love him and wouldn’t part with him, however we just don’t have the time for him. He has a lot of potential and with enough time could do about anything. To good home ONLY, references will be checked. Re homing fee is $900.00.”
OK, you folks do get a little credit for caring where he goes. That’s all the credit you are going to get. OMFG geld this thing IMMEDIATELY. This is one of the saddest examples of a Welsh pony I have ever seen (I doubt this thing has papers, maybe you are guessing what kind of pony he is?) He is calf kneed, cow hocked, narrow as a board fence, no hip, upside down neck…the overall effect can best be described as “blech.” He has NO business still having his testicles. NONE. He looks like someone shrunk Bucky from two days ago!

I would have to disagree with the statement ‘If it’s worth $900, it is not stallion quality. EVER. That should be your first clue, even if you know nothing about conformation”
I am only saying that because right now it is a buyers market. I got my registered haflinger stallion, well yearling, DOB 2007, a year ago in June of 08. I saw him on draftsforsale.com and there was just something about him I fell in love with, not to mention his sire and dam were awesome with great bloodlines. I am in cali and of course things are pretty pricey here. He was listed in Iowa where things are a great deal cheaper. Not only did I fall in love with his looks and pedigree, but he was only $600!!! plus another $100 with coggins papers and more vaccinations.
I couldn’t pass this up, plus I had a friend coming from Indiana who was going to pick him up for me and then another horse on the way out here so I did not have to pay for shipping. When this young stallion got here he was more stunning in person. If you have a good eye for horseflesh you can find a GOOD horse, be it a mare stallion or gelding, for super cheap. I do not know the reasoning for the breeders to have sold him cheap, but looking at their website they sell a lot of their young stock for around this price.
I work for a vet and have been around horses my whole life and have been told I have a ‘natural gift’ for horses. If you want, I can send you a picture of my now 2yr old stallion whom I got for $700. He is the best thing I ever got from so far away for so cheap. His temperment is to die for and also his looks are stunning. Big boned, good clean legs, BEAUTIFUL head, and the list goes on. I am in love with this boy. And I am very proud to show him off. Can’t wait for him to be a STALLION and not a COLT anymore to take him to the Extreme Cowboy Races like I did with my other mare at the beginning of this year. So watch for him, he will probably be the ONLY haflinger stallion to compete in that event. And yes, I agree, stallions at my place are NOT just for having sex, they get a job and get worked regualarly. ALSO, I have him in with my yearling haflinger gypsy sport horse stud and a mare and two geldings. He knows his place in the herd
Happy trails
