Of course, they have plenty of it since, as we have seen, most of them live off of some combination of welfare, disability, and selling mixed breed puppies registered with made up registries!
Someone has taken it upon her little self to strike back at my blog with her own blog. Now, while I know I am upping her readership far past any level she could create on her own by mentioning it, it is simply so goddamn silly that I could NOT resist responding.

I have an I.Q. of 149, I got a 167 on my LSAT and I’m a Mensa member (OK, it’s lapsed, I have better things to spend $80 on these days). You don’t have to imagine it, sweetie pie, it’s all been documented.

OK, you’re confused. I think you are going for the concept that people who are violent toward animals usually escalate to violence toward humans, which is true. I’ve never actually heard anyone argue the reverse before. Care to name your source for that brilliant theory?

Actually, I did several years of serious cat rescue in Los Angeles and am very well respected by my peers in that area. In fact, I went to Louisiana after the hurricane to care for the hundreds of rescued cats at the Lamar Dixon shelter. Again, well documented. I was there on behalf of Kitten Rescue, the largest 501(c)(3) cat rescue in L.A.

What is a War Demon? Is that, like, some character from some online game that people like you get sucked into and start to believe is real? Actually I am a Wizard. A really important one, and I have decreed that you’re no longer allowed to breed horses or anything else. Shazam, my will be done!

Why do I need to feel better? I have bred or been involved in breeding decisions resulting in three horses and none were fugly. One is a successful eventer/Pony Club mount. One is kicking ass in western riding and western pleasure – at age 15. The third was a much loved child’s horse until his untimely death from a kick from another horse. I have nothing to feel bad about. I’ve rescued many more than I’ve produced.

As I’ve said many times, it does not bother me a BIT to hurt someone’s widdle feelings if it results in even ONE less low end horse being produced to live a miserable life and die in a slaughterhouse. I worry MUCH more about an innocent animal that has no control over its life than I do about some jackass who thinks it’s a great idea to breed Appafriesianwalkabians and thinks that is easier than getting a job.

Everybody hates somebody. I happen to hate BYB’s and people who do stupid things with horses that destroy horses’ trust, bodies, and often lives. I don’t see anything wrong with that. We shouldn’t simply accept all the bad behavior in this world with a shrug and a smile.

OMG! I glanced over at the blog and nearly choked laughing. Her little blog has a bunch of anonymous comments trying to figure out exactly who Fugly is… my guess is that its the same person who made the blog creating anonymous posts to make it look popular!

Fugly – I can state as a LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST that you are not a sociopath and I’ve seen NO evidence of mental illness in my several months of enjoying your blog.
This person (term used loosely) on the other hand does seem rather delusional and paranoid.
She seems to have a decent handle on the English language, so that narrows the field of folks quite a bit. The timing of when she started the blog against your blog may be the best indicator as it was likely retaliatory when she got outted. Can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with on this one when I wake up tomorrow.

I believe that it is Deneze. She was a buddy of a buddy on 360 and when they saw that I posted FHoTD as one of my favorite links they asked “Who in the hell is this righteous bitch?”.
I told them to go and read up and they would find out. I believe that she is the most upset by what was pointed out on here. She has also been found all over then net bitching about Fugly all of the time.

They werent awful with the spelling thing, I mean not as bad as most, just completely fucked up in the head, ’tis all.
The only thing that throws me is that they use a stock horse picture on the site, but it might just be because, you know, they’re calling you a horses ass and such.
My thesis adviser said, “You’re best known by who hates you.” So take comfort in who hates you.
Also, it seems to me that when folks are passionate, their language skills are the first to go. So I think that some of our more “righteous” BYB’s may still be on the list.
I don’t have a clue who it is, however they don’t seem to get it do they??? Its too bad that they are so caught up in the fact that they produce inferior horses, that they can’t think straight.

Yep. I didn’t study either. I took it to see if I should go to law school – figured I’d wing it and see what happened.
Of course, I didn’t end up finishing law school (combination of family illness/need to go back to work and support myself), but it’s still a nice little line on my resume…

Hah! I used to be a member of Mensa also, but it didn’t really mean anything so I lapsed. I got pissy with someone at work – who called me stupid and a couple of other derogatory things. I mentioned the Mensa thing and she brought it up EVERY TIME she spoke with me (again, in a snotty, derogatory way). So I mentioned how high-school her behavior was at her age… and started bringing up her age (at least 20 years my senior) as much as I could.
Sigh. Now I never mention the whole supergeek childhood if I can avoid it, so many people immediately revert to the whole pick on the nerd behavior.
I really thought adulthood would be WAAAY less like high school.

I’m in the market for an experienced hunter, and the first thing I look at now is not the show records but the conformation of the horse so I KNOW what I would be getting into in terms of health issues. And I don’t even want to breed anything!
And I dunno, in any school I went to, if there was a rotten kid in the class doing entirely unacceptable things, they got publically called out by the teacher. Social pressure is sometimes a better teacher than doing the right thing for intrinsic reasons, and if shaming BYBs into not breeding fugly horses is what it takes, then they bring it upon themselves.

I have NO clue who this ridiculous person may be and I actually couldn’t possibly care less. It is quite common for the mentally ill to accuse others of mental illness and for criminals to blame their sad, ruined lives upon everyone but themselves.

I’m always amused by the fact that the only thing anybody can ever come up with on me is to come up with tall tales about various friends of mine (that they’ve been bickering with for 20 years in the local horse community, long before I ever moved to town). Good luck attacking me personally on horse care or management (even though that would be the only relevant way to discredit what I have to say). I do wish I had friends I could “leach” (WTF? Robin?) off of, as I would then have more money than I do, but sadly must shamefully admit I’ve paid rent or worked it off per agreement everywhere I’ve ever lived. OK we think we figured it out. We think the blogger is Rachelle, the owner of the Spotted Snow Yak. This is a girl who has a round pen and fencing made of old pallets (I do not make this shit up), breeds her fugly grade “rescues,” and still thinks she has the moral high ground.
That’s my guess, anyway! She has a web site, however, the entire thing is password protected for fear someone sees her fuglies and comments! Nothing like having pride in your breeding program.

Why yes, I can. She is well-spoken, and well-educated on the issues at hand when breeding horses. I would assume the “internal makings of her brain” (that phrase, by the way, doesn’t make any sense) are pretty good.

Not true. I’m plenty mean to lots of people, but all of my pets, right down to my 3 year old rat, are spoiled and loved. I assume you’re talking about the pattern among psychopaths and serial killers, who often torture animals when they’re younger as a prelude to later torture of fellow human beings. As far as I know, FHOTD/Cathy has never killed anyone, and she posts occasionally about the lives her own horses live, which includes being retired on beautiful pastures until the day they die.

Wrong. Her intentions are to point out what is wrong in the horse world, and especially what is wrong with breeding. When people are uneducated about what makes a horse good breeding stock, they create more horses that will end up in a Mexican slaughterhouse. She points out in her blog things about horses that could very well hurt or kill their offspring, i.e. breeding a horse that is HYPP positive, or a horse with DSLD. Her intentions are not to “make herself feel better,” but to educate, and also to vent her frustration.

What does that even mean? (It made me imagine her running into some BYB’s farm wielding a sword to rescue horses.) She writes about people who obviously do not understand that they are breeding ugly animals, or animals who have no future as either show animals or working stock. When someone does that, when someone purposely breeds a horse with poor conformation, that’s just being mean to the animal that’s born. You are purposely passing on bad traits. If these people have not educated themselves on how to properly evaluate what is and isn’t desirable in a horse, then their feelings should get hurt. Someone needs to tell them that they’re breeding crap. Hopefully they’ll change.

Once again, not so. Hundreds of people comment on her blog, agreeing with her and thanking her for providing interesting information. She has horses of her own that she loves dearly and cares for. Certainly any one of the loyal readers of her blog would help her out if she ever needed it. I don’t know too much about her life, but what I do know doesn’t sound too bad.

Hmmm, well, I’ve been in jail for more than 84 minutes (I forgot to pay a speeding ticket when I was 19 and they caught me again and put me in a cell until my lawyer friend came and dragged me out, laughing hysterically and giving me shit the whole time) and I’m not particularly camera shy, but I don’t know how to get into rehab without actually getting addicted to something, and if I were addictive, I’d probably know by this age, particularly given the amount of Early Times I consumed in my misspent youth!
I suppose we could set up a rehab for horse addiction, but who wants to be cured? It’s untreatable, anyway.

As a mostly quiet member of the Fugly Blog Mob, I’d just like to say thank to Ms. Fugs for her vision. Whether or not the bad BYBs ever recognize themselves, at least you’ve helped a lot more of US to recognize them, not patronize them, and to speak up against ‘em. Ignorance sure isn’t bliss for the miserable, in pain, or merely unsaleable affected animals.

I believe that it is Deneze. She was a buddy of a buddy on 360 and when they saw that I posted FHoTD as one of my favorite links they asked “Who in the hell is this righteous bitch?”.
I told them to go and read up and they would find out. I believe that she is the most upset by what was pointed out on here. She has also been found all over then net bitching about Fugly all of the time.

I have to agree with this, the minute someone starts with the religous stuff I get worried about them. I know people, not necessary horse people, who have trusted too much because the other person claimed to be so devout and they have ended really being taken. I have the same problem with religion in business as I do with religion in politics.

We came because this forum was about bad breeding, cruelty and stupidity; we were already against that. Fugly has no authority over us nor did she tell us to believe this; we’re just kindred spirits looking out for helpless horses (and kids), trying to make life better for them.

Well, I must admit I also come here to have a place to vent about all the horrific and just-plain-stupid things I see in the horse-owning community, as well as get a good hearty laugh now and then!
callie – if harm was wished upon a kid, it was a comment probably made in frustration toward parents that won’t learn any other way. No one here actually wishes any child will be harmed, thus the ongoing commentary on child safety around horses.
I also agree that at times we all may get a bit out of control in our “snarking” – but that “mob mentality” helps some of us blow off steam in a way that doesn’t involve venomous reactions in our actual *real-life* encounters with the same idiocy that can drive any sane person over the edge.
